The Maryhill Truffle

I'm a day late and a dollar short with this one (a week late, actually) but here goes. Caroline Broady, our 16 year old CZT with mega-talent, created this tangle and issued it as Diva Challenge # 177. Quite impressive! I have been wanting to practice another new tangle, Maryhill, so I put that in the center and then "Truffled" around it. Somehow it ended up reminding me of the amazing Jellies (jellyfish), so I tossed some waves in underneath, along with a moon. Then I added some color randomly with my Amazing Dollar-Store Pencil (pictured just underneath). Unfortunately, the color just never picks up well in these photos, but you get the idea. Fun!

Devin, your composition is delightful! I love the way you paired a wavy-edged maryhill focal point with truffle all around.
As Caroline's mom, I do want to clarify:...while Caroline became a CZT at a rather young age, she is not 11; she just celebrated her 16th birthday. She attended the 11th CZT seminar in June 2013, however, and she is entering 11th grade. :-)

Whoa, Amy, I apologize. Remembering back to when I was 16, if someone had referred to me as 11 years old, I would have been really annoyed! Thanks for straightening me out. I am just loving Truffle. You have one amazing daughter. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next. (Not to mention how good your own work is) Thanks again.
