Just Plain Odd.

Sometimes things just surprise you.  (Like every day, perhaps?) 

They just don't turn out the way we expect, and we have to roll with the punches.  Take this oddity:

Monotangle (Paradox) with shading, an aura, rounding, and weighted lines. Using Micron 01 and graphite.

 After weeks of not being able to tangle because I was working on other projects, I had a few moments today to sit down.  So how did I come up with this bizarre piece?

1. It's a tile for the Diva's Weekly Challenge # 357.
2. The challenge is to do a monotangle based on the tangle Paradox.  Believe it or not, this is what came out when I sat down to do that.
   
3. Yes, it's Paradox.  Or started out to be.  (The irony of the tangle name is not lost on me.)
   
4. I have no idea where this came from or how it developed.
   
5. It's weird.  But I like it.
   
6. I had cataract surgery 3 days ago, and cannot see well.  Which hopefully explains some of the less-than-stellar line work.  I like it anyway.
   
7. Just sayin'.  You can tangle even when not able to see well.  Because...
   
8. Who cares about the result?  The process itself is just so soothing.  Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....
